Challenge:
The main challenge was to maintain a high-gloss appearance while controlling part deformation and preventing flash. The housing required stable dimensions, clean edges, and good assembly accuracy. Any warpage, shrinkage, flash, or uneven gloss could affect both the final appearance and the fitting performance of the lamp assembly.
Solution:
We optimized the mold structure, parting line, gate layout, and cooling system to improve dimensional stability and reduce the risk of flash. High-precision machining was applied to the sealing and parting areas to ensure clean edges. During mold trials, we fine-tuned mold temperature, material temperature, injection pressure, holding pressure, cooling time, and clamping force to achieve a stable high-gloss surface, accurate dimensions, and flash-free molding quality.
