Challenge:
The main challenge was to achieve a bright and uniform high-gloss surface on the tail lamp inner lens. Since this part is related to light transmission and visual appearance, the surface quality needed to be strictly controlled. Any flow marks, weld lines, sink marks, scratches, polishing marks, or uneven gloss could affect both the final appearance and the lighting effect.
Solution:
We applied high-precision machining and fine polishing to the mold surface to meet the high-gloss requirement. The gate layout and cooling system were optimized to improve material flow and reduce surface defects. During mold trials, mold temperature, material temperature, injection speed, holding pressure, and cooling time were fine-tuned to ensure a stable high-gloss appearance, good optical clarity, and consistent surface quality.
