Challenge:
The main challenge was to accurately replicate the optical texture on the lens surface while maintaining stable light transmission and appearance quality. The textured area required high machining precision and consistent surface details, as even small deviations could affect the light distribution, visual uniformity, or final lighting effect. During molding, defects such as flow marks, weld lines, uneven gloss, poor texture replication, and deformation needed to be carefully controlled.
Solution:
We used high-precision machining and strict surface treatment control to ensure accurate optical texture replication on the mold surface. The gate layout, cooling system, and material flow were optimized to reduce surface defects and maintain stable light transmission. During mold trials, we fine-tuned the mold temperature, material temperature, injection speed, holding pressure, and cooling time to achieve a clear optical texture, uniform appearance, and reliable lighting performance.
