Challenge:
The corn-kernel texture required precise machining and stable molding control. Because the texture contains many small raised and recessed details, it was difficult to keep the pattern sharp and consistent across the whole part. Poor machining accuracy or unstable injection parameters could easily cause blurred texture, flow marks, or demolding scratches.
Solution:
We optimized the texture machining process and used high-precision CNC/EDM processing to ensure the corn-kernel pattern was accurately formed on the mold surface. Before final machining, test samples were produced to confirm the texture depth, corner radius, and surface effect. We also optimized the draft angle, polishing direction, venting, mold temperature, and injection parameters to improve filling stability and reduce demolding damage. This ensured a clear, uniform, and repeatable corn-kernel texture on the final product.
